The Speedhacker GUI Add-On is an optional add-on to the Speedhacking Tool Pack. It is a graphical front-end that interfaces with the other tools in the Speedhacking Tool Pack in order to make working with the tool pack easier. After the install, you will be able to do all your speedhacking from a graphical user interface (working with the tool pack from the command line and editing the configuration manually will still be possible, if that's what you like doing).
Usage is fairly simple. Run spdhackg.exe. Click "Load" to select a firmware to work with. The GUI will then use the Media Code Scanner tool to analyze the firmware. After it does this, it will automatically display all of the media codes found in the firmware in the list box. The codes are sorted by into three categories (+R/+RW, -R, and -RW), and within each category, they are sorted alphabetically. To view the speed currently associated with a media code, click on the code. The boxes on the right will indicate its current setting. You can check and uncheck the boxes on the right to edit the speed code. Finally, once you're done editing, click the "Patch" button, select a name for your hacked firmware file, and it will apply the changes you made and save the new firmware. Your changes to the firmware will NOT be saved until you click "Patch"!
