That is in fact strange, usually means bad solder points on these cheap junk, But you say genuine died as well, then its either dead controller or error in formatting killing card.
|
There are 3 Chinese MCs and 1 original, they all worked normally, but the strange thing is that they died in sequence at close intervals and shortly after formatting completely with MC Annihilator 2.0 and installing Funtuna
they were working and crashed or black screen when i restarted the console they were not recognized |
Card is dead, i bet its cheap chinese knock off, only option is disassemble and re-solder board, this might help.

I have MC Anihilator 1.0 CLI ELF on my pendrive but I don't know how to use it. It's a command line and complex. Can someone help me?
Is a memory card with ulaunchelf necessary? I only have a memory card with ulaunchelf. Is a USB keyboard necessary? I don't know about this other software. The 4 memory cards are also not recognized in MC Anihilator 2.0, it says "?" If I use MC Killer will the result be the same? |
If a memory card is not recognize in PS2 Browser basically it means that it's dead.
Although you can try to download and use MC Anihilator v1 CLI (./old/MCA_cli_v1.0.elf) https://www.cdrinfo.pl/download/8133012839. To be sure in 100%. You can also try to recover your card with: https://www.psx-place.com/resources/...rd-killer.960/. |
Question memory card PS2
My 4 PS2 memory cards are not recognized by the console after formatting them completely with MC Anihilator and installing the latest version of Funtuna. After formatting and installing Funtuna, they worked, but shortly after, a black screen or crash appeared and they died.
I cleaned the gold contacts, but it didn't work. Is it possible to recover them? i have PS2 Slim 90000 |
