Vinpower WH16NS58 1.V8 does not support disc quality check??!!!! Please help!

It's not by the SATA controller. I tried to connect the drive also via an external USB box: "OWC Mercury Pro":

I was also thinking about buying from Amazon.com

People in the discussion for this product write that this drive supports quality measurement.

If you would ask Vinpower Digital directly via Amazon.com about this function with a link on this forum and this problem, maybe you will be succeed. Then I would definitely buy this drive from Amazon.com as well.

Firmware 1.V9 I received from technical support: VINPOWER Digital (Germany's Office).

Question no. 3:

I did not receive a list of changes, but if you request it, they will surely give it to you.
I have this firmware available.

thanks for the info, was just thinking of buying one on amazon for $74.
Maybe your computer's SATA controller is interfering? Just a guess.


By the way, where did you get the 1.v9 FW?

Maybe you came across a description of what they changed in their firmware after 1.v5?
