Diskjuggler and Securerom new defeated
Right I will get straight to the point, I made a full working backup of Unreal 2 and it works perfect. The protection is on the Playdisk as it validates this disk and if it doesn't find what it needs then it stops.

I bypassed all this with Diskjuggler and used a CDRW too try it out and it works in all 4 cdroms. Plex x40 reader & Plex x12 SCSI versions, Pioneer A05 Reader and liteon x52.

Choose the option copy CDs and DVDs from the same burner, in my case I used the new liteon. Then tick the following 2 settings in the advanced section.

1. sub R-W(CD+G) The sub bit does't show but it means the same thing as sub PQ is there but only listed as PQ. Just wanted too make it clear, and save any confusion.

2. Ignore read errors

3. I read the cd at x24 and burnt the image at x16 only.

Diskjuggler reported at the end of the read it had an unrecoverable read error, but burnt back ok. I reinstalled the game and when it does the check on the Play Disk it flys through and the game fires up immediately.
