lite on ihas firmware modifications

hello i have a working lite on ihas 124-fu with firmware CL9N. i also had a vinpower PX891SAF-PLUS but it died. as far i can remember crossflasing the lite on with with PX891SAF-PLUS was impossible. but the opposite was possible. now is there a way to patch the ihas with PX891SAF-PLUS read write strategies? and have as a result a ihas 124-fu with PX891SAF-PLUS read write handling? also it seems that lite on has stoped publish fw updates but there are newers i heard of CLDM firmware for lite on. is this firmware really any good? any chance of dumping it with dosflash and share it? i would like to have a PX891SAF-PLUS again but in greece the only possibility is the import. but hey plendly of lite on ihas 124-fu dirty cheap

The Plextor PX-891SAF Plus software does not fit the standard PLDS LiteOn iHAS 124 F/FU models.
It is only possible to upload the software from this Plextor model to the PLDS LiteOn DH16 AFSH Premium / Optiarc AD-5290S Plus / PioData DVR-S21DBK Plus construction

hello problem is that most market in greece offer as dvd recorder only the lite on 124 fu. is there a way to via hex edit to patch read write strategies from that model or the standar PX-891SAF non plus? sadly i know complete crossflash is imposible

Unfortunately, the firmware is double encrypted and without decryption it is impossible to make any changes to it.
