i bought an used px760a with only 291 disc loaded. (i thought was quite low, my old px716sa broke at 2200 disc loaded )
it only read original cd-rom. it doesn't read and write cdr and dvdr.

qpxtool says: "warning found locked Plextor device! quality check and some other features will not work" [ but i don't thinkg this has nothing to do with px760 not burning cdr/dvdr ]

imgburn says "tracking servo failure" when i insert a new dvd-r

any suggestions? should i have to try that OPU change too?

SF-DSxxx lasers are a new type and do not require manual calibration. Calibration data is contained in a QR code affixed to the laser. Reading it is not a problem. However, changing this data in the Plextor ROM is a challenge because there is no software available to access and operate Sanyo chipsets.
