BDR-212UHBK Downgrade?

I dont know if you are known to the bdr-212UHBK drive from Japan. I Consider buying it, but it even though its from 2020, the owner has updated the firmware to v1.4 and i wonder if you know if this can be downgraded?

edit, just found this after searching

"UHD" rated drive doesn't read 4k disks and can't back them up. Don't waste your money as this drive has the same 1.04 firmware problem as any other current Pioneer (not) "UHD" drive. Thanks for treating 4K disk purchasers like criminals. Last Pioneer drive that I'll buy.
