Hi jadburner! The UD02 is supposed to be flashable to UD04. The others can't be flashed.

Yes it is. In the newest user manual and also tested by Billycar. UD02 <-> UD03<-> UD04.

De nada. I think I actually received that from you some time ago. And I also guess you take care of cashkey1 as you are the main contact for those issues in the forum here.

this was my MakeMKV readings before flashing my BDR-TD05, it had firmware version 1.00 and was not LibreDrive enabled yet.

And now with jadburner;s help (Thank you so much), i have successfully flashed it to version 1.02 and it is LibreEnabled now. but it cannot rip or playback 4K UHD Discs, the maximum it can rip and play is Blurays.

Hi Jadburner, attached below are the Pioneer BDR-UD02 and Pioneer BDR-TD04 readouts from MakeMKV.

For the Pioneer BDR-TD04, i do know its totally impossible to rip or play 4K UHD Disc's, just hope that it can be flashed for "Ripping and Playback of Regular Blu-Rays", just as the Pioneer BDR-TD05 was able to be successfully flashed for "Ripping and Playback of Regular Blu-Ray's"
|
No. For the TD04 is not possible to enable Libredrive but the UD02 has more potential.
Read here: https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/view...p?f=19&t=27378 |
yes buddy coopervid, because the td05 was able to be flashed for ripping and playback of "Blu-rays" so i was hoping that the td04 can also be flashed for "Blu-rays too"
its only a wish. i do understand its not able to read 4K UHD Disc's but just wanting it to rip and play blu-rays only. |
in this thread in MakeMKV forums, there was a guy that had a firmware version 1.01 of the TD04... and eventually he got it working to read blu-rays.
in my td04 the firmware version is 1.00. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/view...yle=10&t=25615 |
this is the copy and paste of that guys TD04 drive with a version 1.01 firmware.
Drive Information OS device name: E: Manufacturer: PIONEER Product: BD-RW BDR-TD04 Revision: 1.01 Serial number: LGDL134787WL Firmware date: 2012-11-05 Bus encryption flags: 13 Highest AACS version: 52 LibreDrive Information Status: Might be supported in future, keep fingers crossed Drive platform: Pioneer RS1040 Firmware version: ID01 No disc inserted |
i replied to you (Coopervid) via the conversation pm tab, but i guess it wasnt sent out to you. so i am using the regular pm.
|
No. It's also not supported. RS1xxx firmware doesn't work with libredrive.
