Sprawdziłem jeszcze laptop-mode-tools, ponieważ z automatu mi tym sterował - niestety zmiana na wartość 254 czy 255 (off) nie daje rezultatu.
Dalej mam problem z dyskiem podczas pracy laptopa na baterii - na zasilaczu z dyskiem i bez problem nie występuje.

Jakieś sugestie?


P.S. Sprawdzę jeszcze na Windowsie 7 jednak boje się że tam będzie ok i problem jest z konfigurację Debry, bo kiedyś*u mnie ten problem nie występował.

A to zmienia postac zeczy :P , z tego co mi sie wydaje to laptop wysyla sygnal o oszczedzanie energi do dysku i dysk zwariowal , zobatrz czy jest nowszy FW do niego . Nie masz jakis dziwnych dodatkow poinstalowanych ? Odpal jakis system z cd czy usb i zobatrz czy bedzie to samo .

Ty wez mi cos powiedz bo ja juz nie kumam , czy to jest dysk z wbudowanym akumulatorem czy to sie dzieje kiedy laptop jest na akumulatorze , bo sie pogubilem napiecia i pojemnosci mi sugeruja ze to laptop ?

To samo co przez hdparm zmieniłem również w GNOME disk utility i lapka wyłączyłem.
Jak przyjdę, to zerknę czy coś pomogło.

Rozumiem, że mój dysk to obsługuje i udało się ustawić? (na razie chciałem na trochę mniejszej niż max)
Czy restart systemu jest wymagany, bo jakoś nie zauważyłem zmian...

Kilkanaście tysięcy. Sam dźwięk mnie wkurza, więc chyba tam jakiś SSD wstawię.
Nie, to zależy od fw dysku, nie na każdym możesz coś takiego zrobić.

A ja bym podszedl z innej strony zauwazyl ktos ze dysk tego NIE robi gdy jest na zasilaczu ? ile ma akumulator pojemnosci moze stracil pojemnosc i dysk nie trzyma parametrow i cofa glowice bo uznaje spadek napiecia za probe wylaczenia ?

to w takim razie ile masz już Load_Cycle_Count? Fakt czasem nie można wyłączyć ale można ograniczyć do minimum, 254 wyłącza całkowicie.

To nic nie da jak fw dysku na to nie pozwoli.

Mam taki HDD w notebooku i trzeba z tym po prostu żyć... :( Choć u mnie cyka zawsze, bez względu na to czy to z baterii czy z kabla (zresztą tego HDD przecież wiedzieć nie może). Nie odsłuchiwałem materiału Andy'ego ponieważ DB wymaga js, a ja tego bardzo nie lubię. ;)

Od jakiegoś*czasu mam dziwny problem z dyskiem:
Seagate Momentus SpinPoint M8 (AF)

Na zasilaniu z baterii (na zasilaczu ten problem nie występuje) co jakiś czas (~1 minuty) słychać jakby start dysku. Czym to może być spowodowane?
