Hello, I have a Lite-On iHBS112 2 (2nd generation) and I would like to flash it to a Plextor PX-B950SA to use Opti Drive Control's "Disc Quality" feature. Can someone please provide me with the Plextor PX-B950 Firmware 1.04 .BIN needed to modify my drive? Thank you very much in advance.

You will probably need to use DOSFlash to crossflash your drive.

To verify if you have a gen 2 drive, run ImgBurn, select the Discovery option, select your drive, navigate to Tools-->Drive-->Capabilities, and look at the "Binding Nonce Generation" checkbox. If it's checked, you have a gen 2 drive; if not, you have a gen 1 drive.

Unfortunately, I don't have a PX-B950SA bin file, but hopefully someone else here on the forums can share one.

Am I right to understand that this is the eeprom of my drive with changed boot code (BE->B7)?
in case od using lite-on flasher AL18.EXE it seems I do no need manual editing of eeprom.
but unfortunately lite-on flasher does not see my drive via usb adapter

This link will tell you which drive you have and what it can be crossflashed to.

Just bought used SONY BD-5300S (03) FW2.03 ( I think 2d generation).
is it possible to crossflash it to Plextor 950? and how.
