Avoid layer break issues with multi-layer BD-Rs
Ilość załączników: 1
Disc quality of multi-layer BD-Rs has degraded significantly recently. The best media was made in Japan by Verbatim but the manufacturing equipment was now transferred to Taiwan and the qualty is worse. In many of jadburners tests you can see issues at the layer break even with Pioneer drives. Regarding movies you will see stutter or the movie is hanging completely at that position. Regarding data you will see errors and the data can't be read. There is an easy but efficient way to work around it but burings speed will be half of what you select. The original guide was released in the Redfox forum but that's history. I tried to make a compact version of it and have it attached here.

Dear Coopervid, thank you! already tested before -it works, but If a disc is good quality - better not to use this procedure IMHO.
is a redfox forum will work? |

And no. Redfox is dead. The authorities were after them and so it was shut down. |
yes my answer is based on VPTools results (MID MEI-T02-001).
example: Pioneer BDR205 2x OPC:off https://i.ibb.co/RGXvxNF/Ri-Pan50-Th...008-09-09s.jpghttps://ibb.co/RGXvxNF"> https://ibb.co/RGXvxNF"><img src="<a...nd-2008-09-09s https://ibb.co/RGXvxNF |
These discs were those made in Japan as I mentioned in my first post. Not anymore since the new ones are made in Taiwan and the quality has degraded significantly since. So expect much worse results when your stock of old ones is gone.

Both of my buddies kufo and tectpro went away from the Verbatim MEI-T02-001 since the quality of those made in Taiwan was much worse checking with VPTools and even got stutter while playing back movies. One of them is located in Europe and the other one is located in Malaysia. They all switched to the Ritek MID you see in my PDF and burn using spare areas.

I see Verbatim MEI-T02-001 in Japan (I read that production is discontinued in 2021.) but price is to high 24000JPY -50pcs it is more expensive than Japanese SONY 128 (per Gb) |
You see these discs in Japan but they are not made in Japan anymore.
