Ill add better logging to see what the underlying issue is.
0.10.5 will have a "Details > Copy/Save diagnostic log" if you can share it. Im deploying it now, check in 60 mins if its posted to download and try and see what logs say |

Some good feedback rolling in already. Working for some and findings some bugs with others. 0.10.4 should help the known issues. Also gave the GUI an overhaul. Check 0.10.4 when its on website if you all can :)

Lets see if it works for people first lol Excited for feedback, and the crossflash stuff is interesting, I took a unique angle there and have advertised what I believe to be cross flashable. Its a huge list, so I could very wrong :) I need people with more expertise to comment or test. But everything I did came from the massive amount of firmwares I hold so I was able to read each one and "confirm" functionality vs needing testers. Testers just needed now to confirm my findings more so than find them, if that makes sense.

Thanks buddy. great work achieved!

Free, Open Source, Windows/Linux/Mac Pioneer Flashing App
Hey everyone. I am huge believer in enabling people to backup and preserve their physical media collections. This includes the maintenance of their optical drives too. I don't believe you should be forced to pay people to do so, but I do encourage you use whatever tool you feel most comfortable with!
Im not here to try and get you to use my tool, just to say its here if you want it. Largest collection of OEM firmware: https://freemkv.org/firmware/find/ This page will tell you if it thinks there are compatible cross flashes so you can download them too. Ex. Search for UD03 and see UD04 is a potential cross flash. Use as your own discretion!! Open source cross platform flasher: https://freemkv.org/firmware/flash/ I didn't make this a specific "cross flashing tool". You download a firmware, you flash it. If its "allowed" or "safe" we do it. Simply put, you control what firmware you flash to your drive. We handle getting that firmware onto the drive (like the 2022 era downgrade stuff). Read all documentation here: https://freemkv.org/docs/firmware-tools/ It backs up into OEM format files that you can share and others can flash, or upload to me and Ill put on website if they are truly OEM ones I am missing. The more OEM you can share the better for everyone! It takes about 2 mins to backup (I read twice and verify heavy), and < 60 seconds to flash. Its open source, contributors welcome. Branch it and make your own tool from it. Do as you like. Its all MIT licensed. No warranty of guarantees of anything! This is being tested by a few people other than myself, hopefully they will post their successes or failures here. |
