Inspired by Cell technology on the works for the PS3, Sony thought to go ahead and add the Emotion Engine and Graphics Synthesizer into one costomized chip. That's right, unlike previous PS2 from 390001 back to 30000, PS2 50000 will feature one chip that combines boths the CPU and GPU together as a coherent whole. Basically this does PS2 a great deal. No more gap between VU1 and GS, and reduces energy consumption.
Another major change about the inside are that the fan that helps the heatsink and the rest of the PS2 insides to cool off has been redesigned to use less energy and make less "blowing"/"Spinning" noises. This is basically no big deal but for those engery consuption paranoia people, You can rest easily now.
Other than that, PS2 50000 has everything PS2 390001 has which are: .13 Micron Wiring, New Audio CD playback skin, etc....
Ooh! and I forgot about one more thing. Progressive Scan is now featured to support DVD playback for those people that like ultra clear visuals on their $2,000 up TV screens.

The 50000 model has taken away the i.Link due to it's uselessness. In addition they added on a IR Reciever to replace the once been i.Link port.

Znalezione w necie, nie wiem ile w tym prawdy. Z tego co wiem to ten model na pewno nie był gorszy, wręcz przeciwnie - lepszy (cichy) wentylator, lepsze chłodzenie itp.
Ja osobiście nie narzekam na swoją konsole, model 30003 pochodzi bodajże z 2000 roku, mimo to konsola zachowana jest w bardzo dobrym stanie, chylę czoła przed właścicielem (właścicielami?). Rzecz w tym że ubzdurałem sobie że fajnie byłoby mieć ten ostatni, najlepszy model. Tyle że przestaję wierzyć że uda się trafić na zadbany egzemplarz, konsole przeważnie wyglądają jakby ktoś jeździł po nich na łyżwach.
Najlepszy jest zawsze fragment "konsola posiada normalne ślady użytkowania". Co to znaczy normalne? Bo dla mnie normalne użytkowanie zawiera się w 2 punktach: A) podłączam konsole pod TV B) gram na konsoli która leży pod TV. Nie rozumiem podejścia niektórych, ja nie umiałbym nie dbać o sprzęt. Dlatego mój 14 letni PSX wygląda jakby dopiero co wyjechał z fabryki.
