Cytat:
The bigger the drive, the bigger the cluster become, resulting is games using more space on wbfs.
If I where you, I'd switch to FAT32.
+It's a multi platform format. ( readable on almost any system )
+Most homebrew apps can be loaded from a fat drive. ( Making SD card obsolete in some cases )
+Easy to manage/ maintain.
- files larger than 4 GB need to be split. ( Wiibackupmanager can do this automaticly with Wii games. )
-No DVD movies/ iso, unless split converted. ( 4 GB max file size );
1.not being tethered to WBFS Manager....if i'm moving games with a computer at a friends house, i don't have to worry about installing anything (like .NET Framework--it's so sloooowwww to install)
2. not being faced with the "do you want to format the drive" question when you plug it into a computer....not that i ever accidentally formatted, but i was always scared i would forget and hit enter....
I recently softmodded a Wii and formated a HDD to WBFS to play the games from. I was having a lot of issues getting black screens when I tried to play some games. I was using Wiiflow and that GX Loader. I re-formatted the HDD to FAT32, used the Wii Back-up Manager to load up the drive, and my black screen issues went away....so far. Now, I strictly use Wiiflow, on the Wiiflow site, a FAT32 drive is recommended to use with the newer versions.
