How to interpret these results? On one hand great scans on MTK-based units and Plextor (no idea which chipset they used), while BenQ and Panasonic don't like it. I have observed similar phenomena on Ritek F16 discs burned on BenQ 1620 (missing strategy for that media), and my assumption is that the disc may show compatibility issues on some readers (i.e. TRT on Panasonic burner showing drop), but have no evidence for that
Have you ever observed the contrary - excellent scans on BenQ and mediocre/poor result on MTK-based units?
