There's no separate thread for SE-506BB here, I thought that it's more close to SE-506AB than to SE-506CB in terms of BD-R burning, but you mention that it's very picky. I searched at club.myce.com, but all your results posted there are lost. Same applies to SE-506CB thread. Do you recall which media/speed was to be avoided on SE-506BB? Was it +/- same like for SE-506CB listed at myce.com? The unit I will get as TS00 fw, worth upgrading to TS01?

I can start a separate SE-506BB thread as soon as I have time to do some new burns on that drive. Unfortunately, MyCE "lost" all my scans for the BB and CB. The BB is closer to the CB in burning quality, for both TS00 and TS01. However, I did not do very many tests of DVDs and CDs, so it is possible the f/w upgrade helped those. As i recall, after seeing so many bad burns on the BB, I waited for the CB in the hope that it would be better. But it wasn't much better.
