OK, projekt w piątek po południu zakończony, TS-LB23D powrócił do laptopa

Jakoś nie dawało mi spokoju to że napęd bezbłędnie odczytuje dyski Panasonic BD-RE SL i DL (MEI-T01-001), ale nie dawał rady BD-R i BD-RE Verbatim (CMCMAGCN2 i VERBAT-IM0-000) .

OK, Friday afternoon project completed, TS-LB23D is back in the laptop
I couldn't let the drive retire, when it read flawlessly Panasonic BD-RE SL and DL discs (MEI-T01-001), but failed on most BD-R and Verbatim's BD-RE (CMCMAGCN2 and VERBAT-IM0-000).

Najpierw dobrałem się do dwóch trymerów, ale regulacja w zakresie ***177;180 stopni każdym z nich nic nie zmieniała.

I decided to play a bit with the unit having a closer look at the OPU. First I tried to play with those trimmers, but I haven't noticed any change when turning both of them in the range of ***177;180 degrees:

Więc rozebrałem nieco więcej i starałem się przedmuchać wszelkie elekemnty optyczne:

So I dismantled even more and tried to clean all optical elements with air duster:

but as I couldn't find a way to clean the mirror/prism under lens, it's clearly dusty:

Zgodnie z oczekiwaniami to pierdzenie powietrzem z puszki nic nie pomogło, ale za to w końcu odnalazłem właściwe pokrętełko

Po godzinie prób i błędów udało się ustawić tak, by napęd czytał wszystkie płyty oprócz CMCMAGCN2, tę przeżuwa długo, po czym czasem Imgburn wyrzuca komunikat o zabezpieczeniu AACS

To i tak postęp niż nie mieć wcale BD

As expected "cleaning" did not improve anything, and then finally I found one more trimmer After 1 hours trial and error I was able to recover BD-R and BD-RE VERBAT-IM0-000 readability, CMCMAGCN2 is struggling, sometimes Imgburn complains that the disc is AACS protected, sometimes not read at all, but in the end such BD readability is still better than no BD laser at all

Ciekawe czy po tym "spa" napęd jeszcze potrafi nagrywać

I wonder if the drive still can burn anything after this

@jadburner: If you happen to have your copy of that drive can you check BD scanning? On my unit scanning works both in Nero CD-DVD Speed and ODC, but is extremely slow (disc spins at full speed but diode blinks only few seconds), I wonder if HP fw behaves differently in that aspect.
