Nowadays, this is an extremely rare type of media from the early days of the DVDR boom, with no manufacturer identification code. Paradoxically, the goal was to slightly improve compatibility, since some obscure MID code without broad support could automatically mean a stop on some drives, while with media without a MID code, they at least attempted to write using a generic writing strategy. The quality is surprisingly good considering all the circumstances, but unfortunately, up to about 90% of the media, at which point it suddenly becomes unreadable...
