Hello everyone,
I've got myself a UD04FAL that I want to use it for archiving some of my family photos and videos on 25gb mdisc.
I did some testing with it and seems to behave decently on 25gb bd-re (verbatim) and 25gb bd-r ritek, but on mdisc it does not seem to be so good.
All discs area readable but scanning them resulted in higher than expected errors. Is this normal for this type of unit ? Would a new firmware help with better burning strategies?

Hi everyone,
After some suggestions I did a laser cleaning and tried again some MDISC blanks.
I'm starting to believe that UD04FAL does not like this type of media from Verbatim (VERVAT-IMe). I've got a second unit with a different firmware (1.0) and it behaves similarly.
When writing on media from Ritek I've got better results and I'll probably stick with that.
