Yea quick digging it may be that the UD02 is different firmware and maybe chip revision from UD03 so it could explain the firmware responding but not being able to drive the drive. Getting hands on UD02 firmware is probably best bet.
This is why we all need to start backing up before we flash so we have and keep and share OEM firmwares. ill see if I come up with anything but I have scraped the entire internet of known sources imo. But never know
