Niestety nie można jej przerobić na szybszą. Można wgrać jej bios 1.12 wydany przez IBM'a ale on dodaje tylko lepszy tryb transferu UDMA, a odejmuje jedną djodę tzn. że podczas nagrywania i odczytu będzie działać tylko jedna i ta sama dioda.
