I own a cd-rw Liteon 1213s and I heard ones saying there will probably be
possibility to upgrade or overclolck 1213s to 16x and DL model. I wanted to

At the moment it does appear to be possible to upgradable to a 1633S as the
hardware seems to be the same. Whether the 1633S firmware will ever be good
enough to warrant upgrading, is a completely different matter. The firmware
I have tried, is no better than the 1213S firmware, at the moment.
