The current versions of OP will handle some 1633 FW versions, but not all, as the strats keep changing locations in each new FW version. You can even "double-cross" strats and have strat A be used for media B while B is used for C and C is used for A. All with different speeds selected.
What's different about the 1633 FW is that the drive uses special strats at 12x and 16x that are independant of the 4x/8x strats. So if you find a strat that works at 8x, it most likely will not work at 12x and 16x. Bottom line is that the strats in the 1633 FW are seriously screwed up, and the walking OPC barely functions at all. I have yet to find a strat that will burn any available media at 12x or 16x in the 1633 FW.
