HP hangs letters on the end of their cartridge numbers that confuse most of us. Once you know what they mean, it clears up some of the confusion.
1st Letter -
A = Standard Cartridge Filled 100% with ink
D = Economy Cartridge fillled 50% with ink (everything else is the same)
( )= No letter is the same as A
Second Letter -
N = Made in North America
C = Made in North Canada
E = Made in North Europe, Middle East, or Africa
L = Made in Latin America
A = Made in Asia Pacific
( )= No letter is the same as N
