"Dear Mr Kane

I have already tried all kind of possible drives configuration. I found that the case was not configuration but CD-R itself. I bought a high quality CD-Rs (Emtec) and now Nero CD Speed shows that recording speed reaches 40x. However this speed is achieved only for some time and the average speed for whole session is still no higher than 32x. The recording time (including closing the session) now takes around 20s less than before. I guess that is the way the recorder works - jumping in speed from 20x up to 40x during the burning process and that the nominal 40x speed refers only to the periodical maximum, not to real all-time speed. I also use a Sony 24x CD recorder which record at the average speed of 22.5x (so the difference between real and nominal speed is 1,5x, not 8x considering Teac). If my conclusion is correct, than I have to say that in my humble opinion it would be more fair to declare Teac W540E as a 32x speed recorder. But I guess that is what marketing is."

wielkie dzieki wszystkim ktorzy zainteresowali sie problemem. ktoz mogl wiedziec ze stoimy przed bariera technelogiczna?
