Overspeed technology as well as in DVD BluRay is more advertising and promotion of products .. :ysz:

I tried a burn @ 14x with OPC off on the MEIRB1, and the burn did reach 14x. Very briefly.

Lots of testing still to go, but so far they're looking pretty good. I agree about the x09 series, in fact I usually get better burns on the x08 drives.

I really like the burn quality of these drives - seems better than BDR-209/S09 to me. :)

Tomorrow I'm going to try burning at 14x with OPC off, just to make sure OPC is not the cause. After the MEIRB1 burns, I'll try some high speeds with other MIDs to see if I have the same issue.

So it looks that only theoretically overspeed is possible for such large transmission BD-R DL 50GB.
It is possible that some other media fail to record a little faster but it's hard for a better carrier of BD-R DL 50GB as Panasonic \ MEI ! ?

When I set the high speed burning option, ImgBurn successfully sets the write speed at 14x, but the drive burns at only 8x.

Maybe after the test OPC recommended ImgBurn transmission x12?
But even this great class x12 Pioneer hardware and firmware for overspeed

I'm trying a 14x burn now.

This is what happens when you try to write at 14x but don't set the high speed recording mode.

You can see that in the BDR-S11J-X added only CD tab. It looks like Audio Optimized Write-known models Pioneer DVR.

I wonder if transmission x14 for BDR DL 50GB is realistic to achieve?

Pioneer zapowiedział premierę na japońskim rynku pod koniec lutego ( BDR-S11J-BK" ~22,000 yen ($195) \ "BDR-S11J-X" ~35,000 yen ($310))
Jeżeli mniej więcej plan dystrybucji będzie podobny jak w przypadku poprzednich modeli to najpierw będą następne modele dostepne w USA\Kanada\Australia a potem bogate kraje Europy a potem my ...czyli może za jakieś 4~~6 miesięcy..
Co do wersji z eleganckim panelem to zapewne będzie europejska wersja Pioneer BDR-S11XLT . Na razie oficjalne informacje dotyczą tylko japońskich wersji i ich rynku..

Interesujące, tylko czekać aż do nas zawitają na półki ;)
Ciekawe czy będą wyłącznie wersje z eleganckim panelem :P
