Very interesting. Until now, I hadn't heard of such high-speed CD-RWs. I don't think any company was offering them back then, either in my area or in a distant big city, otherwise I definitely would have bought them. It's a shame these discs didn't become more widespread. Nice article by Dr. Gough Lui, thanks for sharing.
