Crossflash BDR-209EBK to BDR211EBK

I'm new, I had read a few posts, I knew my BDRS09XLT with firmware 1.55 (I updated two years ago) can not cross flashed.
I'm about to have a BDR-212EBK from second-hand local shop. I saw these devices were manufactured on Sep 2020.
If the firmware was not updated , can I do the flash on this device to become UHD Friendly ?

Probably, but only if the firmware was not updated. You should probably check the drive's firmware date before you buy it.

If the date of the firmware on your BDR-212EBK is before December 2022, it can be crossflashed to a drive that supports UHD.

Well, I got another Pioneer BDR Devices that pre-flash to BDR-S12JX with firmware 1.01 (Date 2020-07-21)
Which means this one is already UHD friendly?
Any methods to check device original name?

A BDR-S12J-X with firmware before December 2022 can be used with MakeMKV to rip UHD discs. Your drive meets both criteria, so you should be good to go.
