Hi Jadburner,
I have a small request for your help again. ***55357;***56842; I recently bought two Pioneer drives. One is a Pioneer BDR-212BK (FW 1.00), and the other is a Pioneer BDR-S08J-BK. I would like to cross-flash these drives, if possible, and I was wondering if you could help me with the appropriate cross-flash tools and firmware files. As before, I fully understand the risks involved and accept full responsibility for the procedure. I would really appreciate your help once again. Thank you very much! Best regards, Szary Kot |

BDR-209BK2 - Request for Help
Hello everyone,
I have a fully functional Pioneer BDR-209BK2 (FW 1.51) drive, and I would like to cross-flash it to a BDR-211 so that I can enable UHD support. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could share the appropriate cross-flash utility with me. I fully understand the risks involved and accept full responsibility for the procedure. Thank you very much for your time and any assistance. Best regards, Szary Kot |

Looking to crossflash a BDR-209BDK to a UHD compatible firmware. Not interested in remote flashing services, figured I'd ask here. Would be appreciated!

Just successfully crossflashed my "rev. 1" BDR-S08XLT to BDR-211UBK and ripping a UHD BD for the first time. Thank you jadburner for your generous help! Also shout out to blackened2687 (and all the people who helped) for the great work.
I actually did it through a Windows KVM on Linux by the means of "SCSI passthrough" (virtio-scsi + scsi-generic), so although your mileage could vary (as it involves quite a few "components" that might occasionally break in one sense or another, such as the respective drivers in the Linux kernel, qemu and the virtio-scsi Windows driver), at the very least it could work. (Now I'm wondering if it would even work through wine...given that it apparently works well for ImgBurn I suppose there's at least some support for SPTI...?) Btw because my S08 is already a half-dead drive (red laser down; tray is hard to eject), I'm thinking of sourcing another Pioneer drive from the local second-hand market, but I'm having the following doubt:
