Looking to crossflash a BDR-209BDK to a UHD compatible firmware. Not interested in remote flashing services, figured I'd ask here. Would be appreciated!

Just successfully crossflashed my "rev. 1" BDR-S08XLT to BDR-211UBK and ripping a UHD BD for the first time. Thank you jadburner for your generous help! Also shout out to blackened2687 (and all the people who helped) for the great work.
I actually did it through a Windows KVM on Linux by the means of "SCSI passthrough" (virtio-scsi + scsi-generic), so although your mileage could vary (as it involves quite a few "components" that might occasionally break in one sense or another, such as the respective drivers in the Linux kernel, qemu and the virtio-scsi Windows driver), at the very least it could work. (Now I'm wondering if it would even work through wine...given that it apparently works well for ImgBurn I suppose there's at least some support for SPTI...?) Btw because my S08 is already a half-dead drive (red laser down; tray is hard to eject), I'm thinking of sourcing another Pioneer drive from the local second-hand market, but I'm having the following doubt:

Hello all! First off, thankful for this community and apologies for typing in English. I was lucky enough to come across 3 kinds of pioneer drives within the last couple months and much like others, have been having a hard time finding instructions or the appropriate firmware to flash the pioneer drives to rip 4k uhd in make mkv or if any of these 3 are already ready to go. I am thankful of any help people may be able to provide. I didn't have any issues flashing other LG drives. These are the 3 types of pioneer drives I have. Thanks!

Its truly amazing and simply wonderful: After a hassle-free update, this quite old drive now reads 4K UHDs and DVD-RAMs as well. Many thanks to everyone who made this possible!
