Please help crossflash info for two drives.

1. I have a Pioneer BDR-S09XLT with firmware version 1.54 -> Extra info 20/07/21 PIONEER. Can this be crossflashed to make it UHD friendly?
2. I Have a LG BH16NS40 crosflashed to WH16NS48 firmware 1.D3. Can this be crossflashed to make it UHD friendly?

For your Pioneer drive, please check your PM.

If your BH16NS40 is an MT1959 platform drive, you can use the SDFtool Flasher to crossflash to a UHD friendly drive/firmware.

BDR-S11J-X is LibreDrive compatible ;)

dvrflash and dvrtool i already have, but fw files i dont find.
got the executables from pioneer (BDR-211EBK_UBK_FW153EU.exe) but cannot extrat fw files.

Hi everyone I'm new, I'm about to have a BDR-209-EBK I'm in the same configuration as you see to the top unless the original firmware date :
I want to buy BDR-209-EBK with firmware v1.51 (date unknow) to obtain BDR-211EBK firmware v1.53 or another to become a uhd friendly.

Since october 2024, I would know if is possible to do before buy it ?

Welcome to the forums, Tektek. The BDR-209EBK with firmware 1.51 should be fine to crossflash to a BDR-211EBK.

I'm new, I had read a few posts, I knew my BDRS09XLT with firmware 1.55 (I updated two years ago) can not cross flashed.
I'm about to have a BDR-212EBK from second-hand local shop. I saw these devices were manufactured on Sep 2020.
If the firmware was not updated , can I do the flash on this device to become UHD Friendly ?

Probably, but only if the firmware was not updated. You should probably check the drive's firmware date before you buy it.

Well, I got another Pioneer BDR Devices that pre-flash to BDR-S12JX with firmware 1.01 (Date 2020-07-21)
Which means this one is already UHD friendly?
Any methods to check device original name?

For this other model BDR-212-EBK, I don't understand the conditions to be sure to obtain a good a UHD friendly after flashing.

What the entires conditions region / firmware / date of firmware ?
How to know the region if it's important for this BDR-212EBK ?

A BDR-S12J-X with firmware before December 2022 can be used with MakeMKV to rip UHD discs. Your drive meets both criteria, so you should be good to go.

If the date of the firmware on your BDR-212EBK is before December 2022, it can be crossflashed to a drive that supports UHD.
