Hello all! First off, thankful for this community and apologies for typing in English. I was lucky enough to come across 3 kinds of pioneer drives within the last couple months and much like others, have been having a hard time finding instructions or the appropriate firmware to flash the pioneer drives to rip 4k uhd in make mkv or if any of these 3 are already ready to go. I am thankful of any help people may be able to provide. I didn't have any issues flashing other LG drives. These are the 3 types of pioneer drives I have. Thanks!

It’s truly amazing and simply wonderful: After a hassle-free update, this quite old drive now reads 4K UHDs and DVD-RAMs as well. Many thanks to everyone who made this possible!

Welcome to the forums, yodalf. Please check your PM.

Not sure if you received my PM (I can't see anything in the "Sent Items" folder), so just to make sure: Thanks a million for the flasher and the firmware. I am even happier that you guys are sharing this awesome stuff for free. Needless to say, the crossflash worked like a charm.

Have a great weekend!

Hello! Here is a BDR-208DBK. It was made 07/2013 and is quite older than a BDR-211. There is no BDXL label on it's tray panel. I am wondering if this drive may be capable for UHDs also? I assume someone has unfortunately already done a firmware update in the past:

-------------------------------------
Drive information
OS device name:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-208D
Revision: 1.50
Serial number:
Firmware date: 2015-09-24
Bus encryption flags: 13
Highest AACS version: 68

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8301
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-208
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.50/ID61
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

No disc inserted

Thank you very much for your support in advance!

Greetings, Beaker. Please check your PM.

Hi guys, first of all, sorry for posting in english. I've got the following drive:

Kod:

Drive Information
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1H-U
Revision: E116
Serial number: xxxx
Firmware date: 2020-07-21
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 82

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8F00
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-212T
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: E116/ID71
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

Disc Information
Disc is being loaded

Is there any chance to crossflash this drive such that it supports UHD discs? If so, I'd highly appreciate if there's a chance for me to get the flasher and the firmware :)

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello @Coopervid,

Don't worry, I didn't pay @billycar11 (and that's a good thing, because I'm pretty broke right now!). I did, however, pay for my MakeMKV license.

In fact, jabdburner provided me with the flashing software, the appropriate firmware file, and the instructions (it's pretty straightforward).
Everything went as planned, the only thing I couldn't do was back up the old firmware

Now I can play 4K UHD movies on my Pioneer player. A mega big thank you to @jadburner and you!

NB: I do have one question, though ... Is there an RPC-1 version of the BDR-211UBK firmware?

You didn't even email me I had a special free offer for you and a free makemkv code

Had and extra code and just wanted to give it away but everyone told you don't talk to me so whatever

Check your PM.

Don't pay Billy. jabdburner will take care of this and he has done already.
