Hi Everyone I am so glad I have found this website, I won't be getting much sleep! I have managed to source a pioneer 212EBK and would like to cross flash, can someone please point me in the right direction for the BDR Flasher tool? Thanks

Hello everyone! I'm new on this forum and I'm really happy that found it. I have BDR-212V and bought it to write on 100Gb millennium disk. Unfortunately it can not recognize Verbatime M-Disk. I have no other brand disk to check whether my drive can recognize it. I wonder if is it possible to cross-flash my Pioneer to some other BDR-212 or whatsoever to do my job done. Any help highly appreciated.

The BDR-212V only reads/writes to BD-R SL and DL discs. It does not recognize BDXL (triple layer, quad layer) media.

Pioneer lists a whole bunch of new firmwares now all the way down to the 208 series, I assume they all implement the new protections against downgrading and crossflashing, i.e. it's not recommended to flash any of them atm? They also list a whole bunch of new 213 series drives, e.g. a 213EBK, seems the 213 series is finally coming to Europe.

You're correct, it is definitely not recommended to upgrade the firmware on your Pioneer drive to any firmware dated December 2022 or later. Otherwise you will prevent downgrading or crossflashing that drive.
