Hello.
I bought two packs of Verbatim 100 GB M-DISC BD-R XL discs from Japan, made in Japan by Mitsubishi. One of the packs turned out to be already written. It contains a large amount of information about a museum, contracts, and other related documents. https://i.ibb.co/YBSrX1xz/verb-M.jpg I scanned 1 disc. What exactly is this? Can anyone explain? I have never seen a write graph/start-of-disc pattern like this before. The disc was burned using an LG BU1VERA drive. https://i.ibb.co/yFpC5Ws0/jp.png https://i.ibb.co/d0VzK4Lv/jp0.png https://i.ibb.co/xqymPqWh/jp1.png https://i.ibb.co/5xtdd0CC/jp2.png Recorder info : HLDS BD-DRIVE HLDS-BU1VERA J5F71805 0 Read speeds: RD speed max: 6.0X (26976 kB/s) RD speed #00: 2.0X (8992 kB/s) RD speed #01: 3.0X (13488 kB/s) RD speed #02: 4.0X (17984 kB/s) RD speed #03: 6.0X (26976 kB/s) Write speeds: D WR speed max: 4.0X (17984 kB/s) D WR speed #00: 4.0X (17984 kB/s) D WR speed #01: 2.0X (8992 kB/s) Media class : BD Media type : BD-R (Sequential) Media size : 120mm Polarity flags: 00 Disc Category : HTL PPB speeds : 2X 3X 4X 6X Layers : 3 Erasable : no Disc state : Incomplete Session state : Incomplete Read capacity : 47305728 sectors/92394MB/10512:23.03MSF Free capacity : 0 sectors/0MB/00:00.00MSF Total capacity: 47305728 sectors/92394MB/10512:23.03MSF Media ID : VERBAT-IMk/000 BCA0: 04 1E 10 15 50 03 03 02 19 12 25 08 20 07 39 C4 BCA1: 04 1E 10 15 50 03 03 02 19 12 25 08 20 07 39 C4 BCA2: FC 42 44 52 12 32 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 BCA3: FC 42 44 52 12 32 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 MID raw data 00: 44 49 05 30 00 00 60 00 42 44 52 12 32 05 00 00 | DI.0..`.BDR.2... It also has four sessions, but it looks as though the entire disc is showing maximum LDC/BIS, and no data is visible in the folders at all. Could this be encryption or some kind of special archiving format? Perhaps they forgot to enable it for session 3 on the first disc? |
