For the base model (without Blu-ray) inside there is a HL-DT-ST GUD1N drive with ROM version 1.00. It is a slim version of optical drive, connected via the USB-C controller bridge to mini SATA, based on the Via Labs VL716 chip (USB 3.2 gen 1 on SATA). Although the connector is USB-C, the VL716 does not support Power Delivery (PD), which is why some systems - especially the USB-C Thunderbolt ports on Apple Silicon computers - have problems with device detection. Using USB-A ports or hubs solves this problem. I managed to get the ODD drive ROM firmware and drop the VL716 memory - I can share them if necessary.

Uwaga. Zauważyłem, że napęd jest bardzo wyczulony na źle obsadzoną płytę na tacy. Jeżeli nierówno nośnik zostanie złapany przez trzy łapki, to napęd szaleje i nie czyta płyty. Należy wówczas wypiąć płytę i z powrotem obsadzić ją na tacce, ale z mocniejszą siłą.

Na początku myślałem, że napęd pójdzie na zwrot, ale przypomniał mi się jeden komentarz związany z tym problemem.

Czy ktoś wie, jaki sprzęt kryje się pod tym modelem?
