Terrible results - even worse than mine (and mine were bad enough). These media are barely usable. It seems that we aree truly witnessing the twilight of optical media.

Burned on verbatim 43890 (bu40n fw 1.05)
Imgburn 2.5.8 no OPC 2x fast write enabled.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't used optical media much in the last 15 or 16 years, so I'd completely forgotten about the quirks of testing optical discs.

Nah it's the setup from imgburn. You should enable (check) the option to fast write.
In Tools, settings, write page 1 - DVD-RAM / BD-RE Fast write.

Yes, but so far I've only tried this burn-in test at 1x speed (I think I have something set up wrong in Opti Drive Control).
