Disc quality of multi-layer BD-Rs has degraded significantly recently. The best media was made in Japan by Verbatim but the manufacturing equipment was now transferred to Taiwan and the qualty is worse. In many of jadburners tests you can see issues at the layer break even with Pioneer drives. Regarding movies you will see stutter or the movie is hanging completely at that position. Regarding data you will see errors and the data can't be read. There is an easy but efficient way to work around it but burings speed will be half of what you select.
