This Vinpower firmware WH16NS58 1.V5 is dedicated for burning BD-Rs and scanning the results. It has much less firmware strategies for discs than other LG drives have and most likely especially for CDs as the target is clearly BD-Rs.
So -burn CDs with another drive or you can flash back and forth to either WH16NS60 1.02 or to your original ASUS firmware. I have also a drive dedicated for scanning with WH16NS58 but if I burn I always use a Pioneer drive as they are the better burners anyway.
