As expected, better result

But I scan since 2013 with LiteOn DVD-writers @8x, to make it comparable with my other scans I need 8x

To bad the LiteOn don´t support scan with CLV or P-CAV (like Benq)

Was only a quick test. my normal scanneer since some years is a iHAS 324F

Its funny how it works, recording at 2x makes whole lot of difference as well.

Minimum write speed for RITEKF1 and many other 16x is 6x

LG writers mostly only 8x and 16x

But it also depends on the scanner.

Especially LiteOn iHBSx12 is much more sensitive than a LG BH16NS48@WH16NS58 if scanning BD with higher speed

Yes it does, 16x is maximum recording media speed it's NOT advised recording speed. Same like speed limit, just because u have 80 doesn't mean u have to go 80.

Yep, I understand your point a bit but I think it have also a reason why writer-manufacturers not support very low writing speed for high-speed-media. I think 8x should be OK for most 16x-media.

With BD-media it´s a bit different, while my fastest writers support 16x my fastest media is labeled 6x. Here i mostly stay at 4x, but I have some awful media which can´t be burned good overall.

If u use older/different writer it will write slower, speed is advisory.
