I mean, is any sense of, for example, of crossflasing BH16NS55 to WH16NS58 version 1.V5 or 1.00 version will be enough?

What are the differences between 1.00 and 1.V5 of WH16NS58 ?

Version 1.V5 is already blocked, to change it later you have to use the upgraded DosFlashV2.0 software
DosFlash V2.0 patched to support BH16NS40/BH16NS55 drives

Teraz jest dostępna możliwość wgrywania firmware dla LG serii NS50. Dla tego trochę zmodyfikowany został oficjalny flasher od LG.

Spis zmian i modyfikacji :

- Wyłączone sprawdzenie nazwy modelu - teraz do wyboru są dostępny wszystkie napędy marki LG , które są w systemie. - TRZEBA PAMIĘTAĆ O POPRAWNYM WSKAZANIU \SPRAWDZENIU MODELU DO CROSSFLASH\UPDATE !!! Również zmodernizowany flasher ma wyłączone sprawdzanie wersji hardware SVC - dlatego dla każdego modelu LG będzie próbował wgrać soft - trzeba o tym pamiętać i dokładnie sprawdzać wersje napędów i ich rewizje przy operacji crossflash.


- Wyłączone sprawdzenia SVC code i wersji firmware - teraz można wgrywać firmware dowolnej wersji dla dowolnego wspólnego modelu - program nie będzie blokował takich operacji .

- Odblokowane przycisku wyboru pliku firmware i oraz wyświetlanie wersji firmware do flash\crossflash\update

Również ten kto za pomocą DosFlash wgrał swojemu BH16NS40 w wersji NS50 firmware od starego BH16NS40, i takim sposobem przekształcił napęd w cegłę, za pomocą modyfikowanego flasheru może przywrócić prawidłowe firmware i odnowić zdolność do działania.

HLDS zablokowało możliwość zmiany oprogramowania w napędach zaktualizowanych najnowszymi fabrycznymi wersjami firmware wydanymi w listopadzie \grudniu 2017 ....
Każda próba nieautoryzowanego dostępu do urządzenia jest wykrywana i natychmiast napęd jest odłączany od interfejsu co skutkuje brakiem możliwości zapisania innego oprogramowania niż zweryfikowanego jako fabryczne - kod błędu "Write DRAM NG 05/24/00 "
Oczywiście napędy działają poprawnie ale na dziś ma możliwości jakich kolwiek zmian oprogramowania w tak zabezpieczonych przez HLDS napędach hardware NS50/NS51/NS55/NS58 przez odblokowany fabryczny flasher .

Wszelkich zmian na nowych firmware lub napędach zaktualizowanych do nich \ czy też nowych wersji fabrycznych dokonujemy już inną metodą i patchowanym programem DosFlash V.2.0 - DosFlash V2.0 patched to support BH16NS40/BH16NS55 drives

Can you help me? I have a BU40N REV 1.03 Software 2019 Model.
Is there a tool that can backup the original firmware on this drive. I believe that some where on this forum that a tool does exist. Please advise.

I too have a LG BU40N REV 1.03 2019 Model. Mine is enclosed in a Vantec USB 3.0 SATA Enclosure. I used to make backups all the time but that was years ago and this is frustrating. This flasher tool seems to only be able to be downloaded on "ZIPPYFILE" which I can't figure out how to download the file. All downloads lead me to crap that I don't want to install on my computer. I'm just trying to downgrade my firmware from 1.03 to 1.00. I hope you can help a newb. Used to actually be a computer technician but it was almost 20 years ago. Thank you.

Link works perfect , forum engine will not host big files like 16mb hence is linked outside . how to use zippy, did you try BIG button DOWNLOAD NOW with arrow pointing down ?

Yeah I tried the download buttons. There are THREE of them. One is in a hidden advertisement and the other two, after clicking download, take you to adware sights that try to install stuff on your computer. I am safe to always keep my computer clean. It's protected with both Malwarebytes Premium and Trend Micro Maximum Security, but after getting off zippyfiles, the pop up ads started coming in non-stop. Had to use a 2nd computer to research zippyfiles, which is a REALLY dangerous site. Spent HOURS removing pop ups and applications and manually removing zippyfiles from my browser.

So, can anyone email me the file or make it available in a better way? Also, the user above me has the same issue. LG BU40N drive with 1.03. We are both having trouble with this. I saw a YouTube video about this and there was a link to a flasher and I downloaded it from a Google Drive file with no problems. But I can't downgrade. I read somewhere that LG BU40N might have to do a sidegrade before doing a downgrade but I need the right firmware files. Thanks in advance!
