Firmware i nowe nero rozwiazaly problem.

Pioneer 109 na A09

Na obcych forach ludzie przerabiają swoje 109 na A09
zastanawiam się czy to jest opłacalne?

Rip speeed bez ograniczeń
można włączyć lub wyłączyć tryb cichy (mniejsze transfery ale za to cichy pioneek)

Przeciw:
ryzyko zwalenia napędu.....

Thanks to all who don't think I'm ridiculous. Also to initial_D again for the tool and Flashman for the archives. I hope I'm allowed to link to Flash's stuff here... 

Here's what I did with as much of an explanation as I can provide: 



I extracted the A09v1.05 firmware 

http://flashman.rpc1.org/Firmware/PIONEER/DVR-109/Enhanced_XL/DVRA09_FW105.EXE 

and deleted the Pioneer upgrade .exe. 

I used the DVRupdate 0.9 from 

http://flashman.rpc1.org/Firmware/PIONEER/DVR-109/DVRupdate%20v0.9.zip 

and flashed the A09 v1.05 firmware into the drive. This is where the DVRupdate tool came into play. I was already at v1.17 from Pioneer and they wouldn't let me flash backwards or to the A09 model (which is not rip locked). Then it was just a standard upgrade using the Pioneer .exe and v1.17 firmware for the A09

During earlier attempts and while examining the firmware files for differences, I had noticed the 109 has the heading "GENERAL" in the hex file while the A09 has the heading "PIO_ADV". Trying to flash the wrong version of the firmware from Pioneer wouldn't work. But the DVRupdate file allowed me to change the kernal portion also. The only place I could find the small kernal file was in v1.05. So now, the drive is still recognised as a DVR-109 v1.17 but the rip speed is unlocked. I also imagine any future upgrades from Pioneer won't take the 109 version but I'll have to use the A09 version. The A09 1.17 file went in without a hitch using the flash utility from Pioneer. This didn't work before now. 



Anyway, these are only my results. Prior to doing this it took over 30 minutes to rip DVD "X". Now DVD "X" rips in just about 5 minutes. Also noted is the fact that you can hear the drive spinning at maximum speed after the first few seconds of beginning to rip. I monitored the rip with DVD Decrypter and was hitting 14X at the end of the disc. DVD "X" was a single layer flipper disc with encrption.... 



Again, this is what worked for me. Your results may vary. Please don't blame me if you break your drive. But again, it worked for me...

The firmware used is that for the A09 version 1.05. This contains the small kernal necessary to perform the switch. So, by using initial_D's DVRupdate utility it is possible to "regress" the 109 to an earlier version of the firmware if yours already has v1.17 inside whilst at the same time putting the kernal in for the a09. If you haven't upgraded your 109 to v1.17 of the firmware then the kernel simply "converts" the drive from a 109 to an A09. The final step is just upgrading the 109 to version 1.17 firmware using the A09 version. 



Mine works flawlesly and now rips much faster than before. Windows still reports it as a 109 and to all intents and purposes it appears the same. Just that rip-locking is now turned off

Powiedz udało Ci sie to popranieprzefleszowac? w sumie mnie tes zby to interesowało.. ale za bardzo nie wiem jakto zrobic. Bios juz zmienilem w moim pionku ale jesli chcesz frimware 1.17 to z trego co czytałem musisz tez zmiernic "kernel" ale jak? to jedno a 2 to to co to tak naprawde daje?

WIĘC jak już napisałem możemy zgrywać filmy z maxymalną prędkością. Ja jeszcze tego nie testowałem bo nie mam napędu przy sobie ale tak

UWAGA.
TO jest instrukcja jaką udało mi się wymodzić po przeczytaniu kliku postów na różnych forach rpc1.org i cdfreaks.com dziś to przetestuje i ewentualnie jutro mogę dać odpowiedź czy zadziałało. Ale widząc posty na ww forach to działa....

Ktora opcja w DVD Quit Utility jest naj odpowiedniejsza zeby filmy szybciej sie ripowaly?!.I czy po zmianie ustawien trzeba restartowac komputer czy dziala to odrazu.

JAX na śrdku jest taki ptaszek żeby wyłączyć limit speed trza go odchaczyć

Jak się dowiedziałem to standardowo A09 zgłaszane jest w systemie jako DVD 109 (przynajmniej tak ludzie piszą że się zdziwli jak kupili A09 a w systiemie widoczna jest jako 109)

Ja już przeflaszowałem nagryware i instrukcja którą zmodziłem o dziwo działa :serdusz: co prawda miałem dziwny objaw po zmianie kernela w nagrywarce ponieważ komp nie wstał ale po wyłączeniu zasilania i włączeniu ponownie już reszta poszła sprawnie. Niestety nie mam uziemienia więc mogą być z tym jakieś kłopoty :(

To wiem ze tam ma nie byc zaznaczone ale mi chodzi o te trzy fukcje ktora powinna byc zaznaczona?! Quiet mode, Performance Mode czy Standard Mode.A tak nawiasem mowiac to nie zauwazylem rewelacyjnej predkosci Ripowania.6X to jest max a zazwyczaj jest na poziomie 4-5X.

Proszę użytkowników tej nagrywarki o szczere opinie,ponieważ chcę ją kupić.Prześledziłem informacje na temat innych wypalarek i sądzę że Pionek będzie dobym zakupem.

bardzo trafny wybór
nie ma co się zastanawiać tylko brać
co prawda mam 108-ke ale jestem naprawdw zniej zadowolony czego nie moge powiedzieć o poprzednich nagrywarkach DVD jakie miałem (Lite-on)

Mam 109 ale to zupełnie coś innego od 108. Nowy model naprawde wariuje na różnych sprzętach, są problemy z wypalaniem w nero i alkocholu (bufor spada do 10% i nagrywarka staje) problemy z wypalaniem DVD -R (nie są odczytywane we wszystkich napędach innych producentów).

Jeśli masz szczęście to wszystko może chodzić świetnie, ale jeśli nie masz szczęścia to... możesz się spotkać z w/w kłopotami

P.S.
Nie działa mi RecordNow Max --- restartuje kompa podczas nagrywania.. musze chyba zmienić system XP SP2 albo 2003 :/
