I "had" a Pio BDR-209EBK and with the help of @jadburner, I was able to flash it to an BDR-211EBK.
Very UHD-friendly now, reads my UHDs and even can play them with MPC-HC.

I was wondering about Pioneer drives cross-flashing and the BDRFlash tool talked about in these pages. I was looking for an UHD-friendly drive, Pioneer drives seem of better hardware quality than Asus/LG but the UHD native ones are really expensive.

BDR-212UBK (BDR-212U) - v1.01

As mentioned in the previous post, I would like to crossflash these to the BDR-S12J-X.
