No. It's also not supported. RS1xxx firmware doesn't work with libredrive.

No. For the TD04 is not possible to enable Libredrive but the UD02 has more potential.

Most likely it will be also with new firmware....

Most likely it will be also with new firmware. You can check the sellers in the Makemkv forum if you want a 13 drive. For 12 drives there are alternatives that are also less expensive.

No. Firmware is Dec. 2022 and therefore too new and encrypted. Return it. Not flashable and doesn't read UHDs.

Another hint: Don't scan faster than 4x. 4x is the maximum speed a drive is doing playing back UHDs. The error correction will work for up to LDC 1500 / BIS 20 to 30. Faster scans will report higher...

As a side note: Everybody with a full size LG / ASUS drive with the MT1959 chip can flash the LG BH16NS58 1.V5 firmware and do quality checks. It doesn't have to be a LGBH16NS58 drive to start with....

Both of my buddies kufo and tectpro went away...

Both of my buddies kufo and tectpro went away from the Verbatim MEI-T02-001 since the quality of those made in Taiwan was much worse checking with VPTools and even got stutter while playing back...

These discs were those made in Japan as I mentioned in my first post. Not anymore since the new ones are made in Taiwan and the quality has degraded significantly since. So expect much worse...

Discs w/o layer break (25GB) are usually a no brainer for any BD drive. Even using a LG drive.

You don't seem to understand. There are no good discs anymore since production from Japan was stopped. You might get discs from stock from Japan that are still good. But new production is just bad....
